Alan Moore is God
I came across this on
alan_moore and I know I HAVE to have it. This Rorschach figure is just purely made of awesome.

What disturbs me is that I know DC direct who's commercializing this new serie of "Watchmen" toys (yes, because even if we grown ups don't want to admit it, they're still toys) is doing so only because of the upcoming movie, movie whose release I'm fiercely opposed to.
Come on, I don't give a shit if Zack Snyder's supposed to be good at what he's doing, what I know is that one of the basic rules of life is: do NOT attempt to adapt "Watchmen" in any media whatsoever. This is pure blasphemy, right on the list of sacrileges just before burning a church or any other place of cult.
Some people say that it will introduce a whole new audience to the works of Alan-the Master-Moore, I reply: "Bullshit!!!" Everybody said that when the movie of "V for Vendetta" was released...but most of my friends still don't know that it was adapted from one of the best graphic novel ever written, and even among the very few who were informed, not even one tried to read Moore's masterpiece, even those who "shudders" liked "shudders" the movie.
What's important is that when an author, an artist, a creator states publicly that he really doesn't want any of his work to be transported in an other media, it really pains me to see that no one even listen to his opinion. Who cares if he owns the copyrights or not, it's his work, his world and I can't understand that people don't want to give the man a little respect, and I'm not even talking of the respect he rightfully deserves as a freaking genius.
Anyway, aside my point of view on how this is just a big mistake, the movie WILL be crap because if there ever was a totally inadaptable story to the 7# art, "Watchmen" is this one.
I certainly won't see the movie, I think that's pretty obvious, but still squeed when I saw the Rorschach figure and will surely buy it (as soon as I have some money).
At least they're not making a Watchmen videogame ("crossing fingers, crossing fingers, don't make this happen").

Oh, and by the way I don't care if I seem as an angry stupid fan bitch (because when it comes to Alan Moore that's exactly who I am ;)).
