A TV gem: how often can you find one of these ?
OH.MY.GOD!!!
I was innocently prowling Youtube searching for animated goodness of the eighties when I stumbled upon THIS.
This my dears is an absolutely marvelous and freakingly disturbing video in claymotion featuring Mark Twain, Huckleberry Finn, Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher along with the "angel" Satan; yeah, you read it right. I held my breath during the more-than-five minutes it lasted and just KNEW I had to post it here.
So, enjoy "The Mysterious Stranger", by Will Vinton :
Fucking great, isn't it?
For the record, this is part a claymotion movie of 1985 called "The adventures of Mark Twain" which apparently describes the author's search to find the Haley comet (did you know by the way that Mark Twain was born a year of passage of the comet and rightly predicted himself that he would die during its next visit in 1910?). Apparently it was censored from several television stations at the time. Now, I honestly don't know if the rest of the movie is as good, but I just NEED to have it...seems like Amazon is going to receive a little visit from me this evening. ;)
